I am looking for Martha and Mary COFFEY, twins born about 1851 in Alabama. Their parents were James R. COFFEY, born about 1825, and Nancy A. SHIELDS, 1827-1916. Martha and Mary also had a sister, Eizabeth Jane, born about 1848, who married Lewis Allen 26 April 1874 in Jackson County, Alabama. In the 1860 census, James R. COFFEY was gone and his wife and three daughters were living with Nancy's father, Jacob Edwards SHIELDS. I will exchange information on the Shields family for information on ancestors or descendants of these twins and their sister.
