Jack: With the help of another descendant of Henry, Janet Menees Lassiter of Cedar Hill, TN, & "Williamson Co. TN Deed Abstracts" we have established that Henry had one son John (m. Elizabeth Cocke, d.of Peter Cocke),four daughters, Mary(m.Alexander Hamilton),Jane (m.Henry Anderson),Ellender(she signed her name as Ellenor, husband's 1846 will calls her Elenor) who married John Menees, and Elizabeth(acc. to Sistler's "Early Middle TN Marriages",V2, she m.Richard Cocke, brother of Elizabeth above in 1799.) The web site at http://members.aol.com/leeyukon/cofl.htm on the descendants of Peter Coffee,(accurate as far as I have been able to check it) grandfather of Gen. John Coffee, shows the total absence of any Henry b. in the 1730s or 1740s. Thus, the chances of this Henry being a son of either Edward Joshua or Austen Coffey, sons of Edward Coffey of Essex Co. take a leap forward. I suspect the latter, as I have never seen any sons listed for Austen.
