George Washington Coffey and family

I am searching for info on George Washington Coffey, and his wife Gertrude Zimmerman Coffey. They were from NC, Murphy,or any western NC area,in the late 1800's. I need to know who his parents were and where they came from. They had a daughter, Bonnie Lee Coffey, in 1898, in Murphy, NC. Did they have other children? HELP PLEASE, as George was my GGGrandfather.. It seems that these Coffeys are so mixed together on census I cannot distinguish which is which..
