Hi, All I know about my Coffey ancestor is that I am supposed to have one. One of my 85 year old cousins said, "All I know is that there is a Coffey back there somewhere." I am back to abt 1775 with all the Grandmothers, no Coffey yet! We have a 5th GGrandmother whose maiden name I don't know. Her given name was Elizabeth. Elizabeth married David Davis in VA. Their dau Margaret m. Wm. W. Bond in Amhurst Co. Va. 1793. Margaret had 1 known (by me) brother named Jesse. Does anyone have an Elizabeth Coffey m. to a David Davis ca 1765-1780. I understand that there is a Cherokee Grandmother and believe her to be the Coffey. Thanks, Judy in KY
