George & his sister Catherine, 1800 - Maryland
I am looking for any information on Tracy Delozier who married a Cofer in Charles Co. Md, and also on her Cofer/Coffer family.
In Tracy's father's (Thomas Delozier) will in 1811 he mentions his grandchildren: George Delozier Coffer and Catherine Sewel Coffer. I have never found any record of these people and would appreciate any help.
THOMAS DELOZIER
1811 - Have a copy of Thomas' will, accounts, and inventory. It says he had a son named Daniel who was his executor, a daughter Elizabeth Delozier, a daughter Treacy Coffer (nothing was left to her) and two grandchildren, George Delozier Coffer and Catherine Sewel Coffer. [Doesn't mention any children of son Daniel.]
Elizabeth Milstead DeLosier received 50 acres of Leiper's Discovery begining at the fourth bound tree of a track of land called Cole.
George Delozier Coffer received part of the land to be deeded to him when he became of age and Daniel received the remainder of the plantation Leiper's Discovery.
Elizabeth Milstead Delozier, George Coffer and Catherine Sewel Coffer were each given household goods. The ones left to Catherine Sewel Coffer are listed as having been lent to her mother Treacy (not sure about spelling).
Will was witnessed by James Mankin, Bennedick Thompson, and PHEABY DELOZIER.
