some of the information you seek can be found in a booklet called "a reed family in america". if you do not have this booklet it goes over the coffee family from 1700 to 1874. henry was born in virginia 1748. his wifes names was mary. he served in the revolution as a lieutenant & captin in sumpters brigade. he moved to davidson county, tennessee in 1793. they had one child known of, her name was margaret born 1771- died 1795. she married & her husbands name was mcmeans. she was buried in waxhaw cemetery. lancaster county, sout carolina.
his brother john was born 1752 in virginia. his wifes name susannah. (yes his parents names were also john and susannah) they had 2 children, elizabeth coffe born 1773 & john m. coffee born 1785. elizabeth married james craig & john married sarah w. morrow in 1820. elizabeth settled in giles county, tn. john served in the revolutionunder his brother captain henry coffe at hanging rock. i also have info on the other siblings but not quite so detailed. e-mail me if you need more.
