My grandmother's uncle was Tom Coffey. He apparently immigrated to this country before 1850. His brothers Matt and Chris came with him or later. He helped my grandmother and her sisters come in 1888.

They settled in New York. I know Tom worked at a munitions factory in Peekskill--so I wonder if there was a connection.

My coffey ancestors came from Westmeath, Ireland.
