I have a geneology for a Nathaniel Coffee born in Whitehall, New York in 1798.He had 13 children, but only four lived to pass on the family name. The list of children does not include a Rebecca, though. The surviving males were: Hiram, George Clinton, Charles and Lyman. Hiram and George Clinton each had sons, but the descendants of Hiram have been "lost".All of the names have been substantiated by the 1850 New York Census. If you recognize any of these names, get back to me. Here are all of the children's names: William (died age 3); Joseph (died in infancy); Hulda, married Samuel Waterhouse; Hiram, married Amanda Sheldon; Samuel, (died age 19, no descendants); Louisa, married Bailey Poor; Sarah (died age3); George Clinton, married Lucy Flanders; Charles, married Lucinda Potter; Hannah, married William Woolcott; Lyman, married Philina Scott; Mary, died age 1; Phoebe, unmarried, died without descendants.
