Thomas Moss was b, 1779 in VA. was in Christian Co. KY by 1797 where he married Margaret "Peggy" Unknown. They had children : Mary, b. 1798; William, ca 1800; Rachel, 1802; Lucy, 1804; Sarah, 1806; Elizabeth, 1807; Pheby, 1809; Margaret, 1811; Nancy, 1813; and Jackson Carroll Coffee, b. 1815 d. 1904 in Shreveport, LA. m. Emily Ann Burton. This family was in Franklin Co. AL by 1818. Thomas was a Baptist preacher.
I've been trying to determine if the youngest son might have been named for an ancestor named either Carroll and/or Coffee; thinking this might lead me to Margaret's maiden name.
