In Reply to: James Coffey of Galesburg, IL 1860's by John Coffey of 1494

My great-grandfather James Coffey was born Co.Limerick Ireland 1833, emigrated to USA and lived in Chicago from at latest 1865 until his death in 1896. Married Margaret Corrigan and their children were Mary, Michael, John, Bridget, Edward, James, and Alice. Only John had descendants. I don't know whether he might have lived in Galesburg at any time. He was a clerk, possiibly for a railroad.
