In Reply to: (White) Coffee Family in and around Cedartown Georgia by Ronda Reno of 1494

Ronda: Mary Elizabeth was the third wife of Captain John Bryan Coffee (my ancestor). Captain Coffee was the son of General John E. Coffee, for whom Coffee County was named for. I believe she was a housekeeper working in the Coffee household and after his second wife Marcilla Griffin died, he married her. They had three children. The youngest was a son Christopher Columbus Coffee who moved to Cedartown. I can be reached at hankburnham@charter.net I am a descendant of Captain John Bryan Coffee by his first wife Rebecca Willcox. He moved to Gwinnett County after her death and married Marcilla Griffin.
