The 1850 census for Grainger County, Tenn. enumerates Asburn and Matilda (Dalton) Coffee. Also enumurated were their six sons, ages 14 to 19 - NO DAUGHTERS. They were also in Grsinger in 1870 and Ausburn died there 20 Dec 1871.

His parents John and Elizabeth(Rucker) Coffee, they in Grainger in 1804, from Wilkes County, N.Car.
