Hall Georgia to Pope Arkansas
Posted by: Patricia Ironmonger (ID *****8839) Date: June 02, 2009 at 10:40:20

1880 Whelchels, Hall Co. GA. has an Edward Coffee age 27 with a wife Julia F. (Whelchel) Coffee 20 and three daughters Mary P. age 7, Emma P. age 5 and Martha age 3. These three daughters might be from another wife. This couple moved to Pope County, Arkansas around 1888. They have three more children I do believe to be Julia F. Whelchel's, a James Joe born 1881 in Georgia, Maggie 1885 in Georgia and Mack 1889 in Arkansas. Julia or Judith F. Whelchel became a widow in Arkansas and married Marion Grant also from Hall Co. Georgia who moved to Pope Co. Arkansas and had my grandfather Hosea Grant in August 13, 1893. All of these Coffee children married and had children. I would like to know which line of Coffee this one is as Julia F. Whelchel-Coffee-Grant was my great grandmother also and I am related to her children and their descendents.
