Melissa, I'm glad to share what I have.It might be easier if I knew what you have, or don't have.I'd hate to just duplicate information.
James Calton "Squire"Coffey was born 3 November 1819 in Rayburn Co., GA, the son of John Coffey and Winifred Neville.JC married Adeline Burns on 18 Feb 1825 (same location) and had the following children:John Edward, James Alexander, Caroline Winifred, Katherine Louisa, and Texas Ann.JC's second wife was Sarah P. Haley. They had two children:Oscar and Georgia.JC and family, along with his sons-in-law Leonard and Wilke migrated in 1869 to Gassville, Baxter Co, AR.In Gassville, JC was in the cotton ginning business.JC was a prominent Mason and was justice of the peace for many years. After moving to Mountain Home, AR, JC was in the mercantile business with AJ Truman and JL Leonard, his son-in-law.JC died on 23 Aug 1913 in Chattanooga, Comanche Co.,OK, but is buried in Baxter Co., AR.
JC's parents:John C. Coffee and Winifred Neville
John's parents:Jesse C. Coffey and Nancy Alexander
Jesse's parents:Edward Coffey, Jr and Grace Cleveland
Edward's paraents:Edward J. Coffey and Ann Ester Powell
Edward was born 20 Oct 1670.Some researched believe he was born in Ireland, while others believe Virginia. Some believe his father was John Coffey, who came to this country in 1637 from Ireland.Others disagree.
I'll be glad to share any other information I have if you can tell me exactly what you're looking for.I don't have much on your line - my husband is descended from James Calton's son James Alexander through his daughter Lou Iza Pernicia Caroline Coffee Moody.
It's great to hear from you!I look forward to hearing from you again.
