Cleveland Coffee/Hall County, Georgia

I am searching for the place and burial of my great grandfather, Cleveland Coffee. He was born in 1843 in South Carolina and died in 1892. I know he was a Civil War Soldier (24th Infantry-Company I),and he survived the war. He married Mary Frances Barton in 1865, and they had several children.
I have always been told that he was stabbed to death at a railroad track because someone thought he stole a cow (later proved he didn't). This was supposed to have happened in Hall County, Georgia in November of 1892. I can't find any proof of this.
His parents were Iley B. Coffee and Martha Permelai Isbell.
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.
