I was scrolling through the Coffee names, and found your message.
I am a direct descendant of Illai B. Coffee who married Martha Permelia Isbell. They are buried at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetary in Hall County, Georgia.
My mother, Doris Anita Coffee Meyer (born 08Sept.1923)was the daughter of: Sandy Garnett Coffee (born 06Dec.1882) and Alva Charles Harris(born 22Sept.1883). Sandy Garnett was the son of C.Cleveland Coffee (born 1842 or 1843 in S.C., and married Mary Frances Barton). C. Cleveland Coffee was the son of Iley B. Coffee (born 08March1814 in S.C. and died 19July1884)
My mother, Doris Meyer, passed away on 26April2006. She was the last living child of Sandy Garnett Coffee. All other seven siblings had already passed away some time back. The Coffee name is not carried on through this line anymore, as there were not any sons to carry on the name. There are three female cousins with the maiden name "Coffee", but no males. My mother and I had done a lot of research on the family and we have a lot of information (including pictures of Iley B. Coffee and Martha Permelia Isbell), but unfortunately, we had not done any work on this for about fifteen years. I am just starting to get back in to it.
