Harry, have you ever heard of Hugenots from France having this name? My family maintains that our heritage is Jewish, but others from distant lines, but all connected in 1840, say "their" line was Hugenot. My grandmother's family always spelled their name Cohen. Also, I have one cousin with this last name and he is willing to do the DNA testing, but will it help us to know if the family is, in fact, Jewish?
