Hello Dave,
My COENS came from Mayo and Sligo. Earliest one is Bartholomew Coen, and wife Catherine Bowman. I cannot read the name of the town in Mayo that they came from, or were living at on the baptism list I received from a friend. This would be in the 1860s. They lastly lived at Bunnannadden, Ballymote, (there's a Tubbercurry in there too)County Sligo. My greatgrandfather, Bartholomew (Batty) died sometime after my grandfather, Michael Joseph called Joe was born (1884)in Sligo. My greatgrandmother came to USA 1902-3 and went to Nebraska, my grandfather came with her. I have two of the brother's dates when they came to USA, Bartholomew (Batty JR) 1905,and Patrick 1905. Thats about all that I have except for James who was in Kankakee IL,Bernard who was in the British Army, & John ?
