Hi Leighton,
This is great! I have run into so many walls on this side of the family. O.K. what I know-John was married to a Mary Morrisey (from Ireland), but I know nothing about her.I think my grandma may have some pictures of her. I'll check & let you know. I know grandma also has at least 1 picture of Helen. I knew about Chicago but not Wisconsin. Most of the family ended up in CA at least by 1900 (census info). My GGrandfather, Harrie, was living with your grandparents in LA and Frank was in a Catholic orphanage up in Santa Cruz. I assume Nora & William had passed by then, but I do not know when or where. Harrie & Frank both passed in 1941 in LA. As for the Buffalo Bill connection-I don't know. My grandmother keeps telling me it's there but she's not sure exactly how either. Charlene ( Aunt's (Mildred's) daughter told my grandmother that there were 4 brothers who left Ireland and ended in Nova Scotia. They were trying to get out of military service. Charlene is going to send grandma more info later. Will let you know what I find out.
Now, as for whom I am, my name is Tracey Owen Faw. My mother is Barbara Crosby and grandparents are Aaron & Thelma Crosby. Thelma is Harrie Erwood's daughter. I'm 39, born in LA, & now living in TN, married with 1 son. Mildred or, as my mom called her was Helen's daughter, and was my mom's godmother. We understand she just recently passed away, and Frances (another aunt) is going to be celebrating her 100 bday this month. How wonderful! It is great to hear from you! I always happy to hear from new cousins! Take Care & write back!Tracey
