No, I am unfamiliar with the Pace family. It appears that CDF's first name is an honorific and may be due to a familiarity with the Carringtons of Virginia who used the Codrington name for forename for various sons.
The origins of the Codrington family in the Americas are primarily via one Gloucestershire family with the primary male arriving in Barbados circa 1640. The virginia Cod connections with Carrington etc stem from that group.
There was also a small group settled in Pennsylvania which stretched westward but appears to have died out.(don't quote me on that)
My branch which settled in Florida 1870's came from the Barbadian/Antigua line via Jamaica where they were planters for about 140 years.
If you would like some help on your Pace/West Indies connection write me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
and I'll see what we can find.
The only known connection to Ireland for the Cods was one Cod who received large grants there during the Clearances, but they were resident for less than one generation.Look forward to hearing from you
