Thank you again for your kind reply, Dave. The first problem I have is that I do not know who the parents really were of the Antoine Lemery who married Mary Henriette Leriger dit Laplante in 1824. I suspect that they may be the Pigeon sister named Marie and her husband, Louis-Antoine Emery, but I really don't know.

In addition to the trip to France next year to find the Emery and Leriget home towns, I expect to visit Moselle this September to check on my father's ancestors, Brun(Broun) and Noel. They came in 1847 from Rening, between Metz and Strasbourg, a war torn area for centuries.
