Thanks for the detailed reply. Between your last post and this one, I searched for general information on the Normandy Tesson/Taisson family, links to William the Conqueror etc. Raoul Tesson II 'the badger' had property in Apoulie in southern Italy (mentioned 1049. He died c. 1070 (estate settled then). He had a younger brother Ernies, whose son/s were at Hastings. There was also a Willelmus Filius Tassonis in 1101 and 1115 in Italy, relationship unknown. Raoul's son Raoul III married Matilda of Falais. I will now follow up the helpful information you have posted. I'll post new findings here about Osbert de la Herloter - others may be interested in this too.
