Greetings Cockrum researchers! I am looking for any information on Mande (Amanda/Armanda) Cockrum, date and place of birth unknown. Mande married William H. Elliott ca 1866. According to family stories, Mande's mother was married to a Lackey before she married Cockrum. Mande and William lived near the Red River where William ran a ferry boat at Horse Shoe Bend (now in Lake Texoma). William was murdered 14 May 1875 while trying to collect a debt. Mande then married Frank Meeler. Children of William and Mande were Mark, James, Emma, Cindy and Virginia Elizabeth (my line). Children of Mande of Frank Meeler were Will, Frank, Alice, and Bessie. Would love to hear from anyone with any information on Mande's parents, siblings, etc. Thanks.
