Hi Sue Thanks for the reply, was the reason all that happened because Wilbur was an abuser and Ellen Cockrum took his wife and child into her home? Funny you should mention Rebecca Boyetts book she is in my family tree I was wishing I could get a hold of her,I know she wrote a story about her G Grandfather Capt Briant Cockrum who turned out to be A jayhawker he was the head of the Cockrum Gang he was caught and killed around Shipps Ferry in 1864 he was a brother to my GG Grandfather John A Cockrum and she wrote that some of the brothers were in the gang they lived around Lone Rock I just want to know which ones were in the gang they say around the same time Benjamin Cockrum was caught and hung by bushwhackers Morgan V Cockrum was a brother also he was in the Confederate Army for a year his brothers went to Missouri and joined the Union Army There are several stories about Capt Cockrum . I am not even sure if Rebecca is still living I think she lived in Montana. So if any one knows her please tell me how to reach her please Thanks Sue
