Just got through reading an account called Murder in Matney Township. It was written by Rebecca Boyett, and I think there should be a copy in the Baxter Co Library. Anyway, Morgan V Cockrum was Ellen's father-in-law. His son, William, was her husband, although he evidently left her early on. She lived with Morgan and his wife, and stayed on at the homeplace after their deaths. Don't know Ellen's maiden name.
Oh, side note, Ira Wilbur got off with a temporary insanity deal. But, there is a marriage record for Izard county for an Ira Wilbur to Amanda Box, dated 1920. (?!) It appears that Ira's wife left him, anyway.
