1850 census Silver Creek township, Randolph County, Missouri
Cockrill, Jane, 53, b. PA
John, 20, farmer, b. MO
James, 15, b. MO
Thomas, 12, b. MO
Ann E, 10, b. MO

Possible families living in Randolph County, 1840
Benjamin Cockrill, had children of the right age, and wife of right age
Several Burton families were listed on the same census page. One was a James Burton, who was about the same age as this Benjamin Cockrill who was 50-60 in 1840

The two other Cockrill's in Randolph County in 1840 were too young, did not have children of the right age. They were Clinton and Fielding Cockrill.

FamilySearch.org has the following record

Benjamin F. Cockrill
Birth:        24 Jan 1788, Fairfax County, Virginia
Death:        24 Nov 1847, Randolph County, Missouri
Father:        Christopher Cockrill
Mother:        Susannah Stark
Spouse:        Jane Duncan
Marriage:        14 Feb 1817       , Fayette County, Kentucky

I'm not related, but have Cockrell ancestry from Virginia and Missouri
