Thanks ever so much for your time & effort to help me with this family. The reason I've been trying to research this family is that my gg-grandfather, Nixon Covey, born MD, first found 1830 Montgomery Co, KY (where there was a Simon Cockrell (I thought this was the ones who were in Breathitt Co, they were in Montgomery Co by 1810, the Cockrell family, that is); it seems that my Nixon Covey named one of his sons after almost every son of Simon Peter Cockrell, Jr; Nixon had one son named, for real, Jeremiah Weldon South Lewis Morgan Cornett Harrison Covey, born 1844, died 1918, Estill Co; Nixon Covey was in Morgan Co, KY in 1840 Census, in Breathitt Co in 1850 Census, & in Estill Co in 1860 & 1870 Census; he died in Estill Co, KY, June 20 or July 20, 1879, at age 88 years; he was a school teacher, a minister & was said to have been a surveyor, but I have no authenticity to that occupation of surveyor as of yet; Nixon had a daughter named Mary Cockrell Paulina Bohannon (one of Simon Peter Cockrell's daughters, Paulina, married a Bohannon man, but I don't have his name at my fingertips at this moment; I feel like there's a connection with my Nixon to this family but I've not been able to prove it; I'm at a brick wall with this man and have been ever since I've started researching his line in 1985; he was said to have changed his name (whether that's true or not, I can't determine, but I've researched the Covey line to some extent and nowhere can I find a Covey family who had a child named Nixon, and you would think that if he was a Covey by birth, one of his siblings would have named a child for him, but it's not until Nixon starts having children do I find a child named for him, then it continues to his grandkids and then dies out.

I really appreciate your help on this line, I've copied & pasted it to a Word document so I can pull it up & really study it at length; again, I thank you for taking the time to help me. Diana
