When you find the time, you need to check out J. Green Trimble on the Internet...you'd be surprised about what this man knew about the Cockrell family and how he can tie them together...one of my ancestors was near neighbor and maybe even a relative of the early Cockrells, I'm still trying to check it out...page 12 of J Green Trimble's book, "Recollections of Breathitt" is where you need to start looking.
