looking for parents of John Robertson Cockrill who married Christiana White in Texas in 1830's. He supposedly came to Texas with his uncle Sterling Clack Robertson to settle near Independence, Tx.
He received a land grant in Ellis Co. He and wife had 2 children: Eveline Valeria Cockrill and her brother Thomas, who died in the Civil War in Louisiana. Help??
