Just a shot in the dark here, but who knows: RE: Samuel Cockrell: I believe my 5th great grandfather, William Liles, had either a brother or first cousin named John Liles, who married Ages COCKRELL. They lived in Chester County, SC. They had a daughter named Elizabeth Liles, who married James Madison Trussell and moved to Alabama before 1816. My 4th great grandfather, John Liles was on the Monroe census adjacent to them. John moved on to Pickens County, AL and then MS. My grandfather, great grandfather, and 2nd great grandfather are all buried in the Hollywood Memorial Cemetery you mentioned (McComb, MS). Perhaps Samuel was a son of one of Agnes's brothers? Do you have any info on Agnes Cockrell?
