Have you checked the children of Nathan and Jonathan
Cockrell? Jonathan Cockrell (b. @ 1778 in N.C.) was living
in Greene County, AL (appears in 1850 census) He had
a number of children. My g g g grandmother was his oldest
daughter, Henrietta. I am sure some of children probably
remained in AL while others came to MS. There is also Nathan
Cockrell (a brother to Jonathan who was in Pickens county, AL)
perhaps some of his family were in Greene as well.
