I have an article in front of me about a Dr.
Geoge Cockram.
"The Cockrams were always noted for their generosity twoards their native town of Cullompton; for instance, Bathsheba Cockram and her brother George each gave a Communion Cup to the Parish Church, and I recemtly discovered that one of the family erected a market cross in the Town and that a descendant of his, a Dr. George Cockram, of Tiverton, charged a portion of his Cullompton land with its upkeep"
I can go back to 1301 on my line and this George is part of it.
Regards
Robyn
