Maria Cocke married Thomas B. Childress in Greene
County Alabama 1827. Greene County Alabama was taken in by
Marengo County Alabama in 1830's. Maria Childress died
in 1852 and is buried in Greensboro Cemetery. Thomas B.
Childress died between 1845 and 1850. They had five sons
James Herbert Thomas Jefferson and Henry. Maria Cocke
Childress parents were Herbert Cocke and Sallie Roberts.
I would like to find Marias siblings, and why her family
was in Greene County Alabama.
