Died, on the 24th instant, at his farm in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, Col.
Richard COCKE, aged 67--He took an active part in defence of his native State, during our
revolutionary struggles--Having tasted the hardships of war, and the confinement of
a British prison-ship--the way-worn solder, during our late contest, never pass his
door without partaking of his hospitality.
