I have Richard J Cocke m. to Elinor Nellie Desha in my family. I have found information on-line at ancestry that a possible father to Richard was a James Nathanial Cocke m. to a Julia Pleasant. I know the the first born of Richard was Pleasant Desha Cocke. How did you verify the fathers name you have and the mother with last name Jones. I have Richard and Elinor having two sons and five daughters. One daughter is Julia (which I assumed was after the mother). Can you help out on this. I will share what information I have. Daughter Elizabeth married Samuel Smith Williams who is my husbands 2nd Great Grandfather.
