From Early Records of Lee Co., VA., Vol III, Catron, the following:
13 Sep 1796: Jester Cocke to son, Jester Cocke, for love, good will and affection, and $3, land on Glade Creek, a north branch of the Powell River, 100 ac. Wit: Edmund Osborne, David Burk, and Mathew COLE.
I believe that a Sarah COLE was the wife of one of the Jesters...I am interested in the relationship of Mathew to Sarah, also their family history. If anyone has any information, I really would appreciate it!
