Seeking data on ancestors & descendants of James Hartwell Cocke & wife Elizabeth J. Norfolk, who were married Sept 13, 1825 (I don't know where).
Their children were Mary cocke b. 12-31-1828, Margaret Virginia Cocke b. 1-26-1837, James Norfolk Cocke b. 10-2-1840, and Elizabeth Cocke b. 7-5-1844.
James Hartwell Cocke born in Virgina(?), and died 10-14-1853 in Texas(?). Elizabeth (J.?) Norfolk born in Maryland(?) abt. 1809, died abt. 1882.
My grandmother was Mattie M. Cocke wife of Edgar King Felder of Chappell Hill, TX. She was b.12-19-1875 & d. 12-17-1950. My great grandmother was Mattie J. McDade wife of James Norfolk Cocke (of Texas). She was b. 9-29-1848 & d. 1-19-1936.
