I am a descendant of Walter Cocke/Mary Mason b.1600s, of Southwart Parish, Surry Co, VA, Thomas Cocke/Hannah Hamlin of Southwart Parish, Surry Co, VA, Lemuel Cocke/Jane Browne, of Southwart Parish, Surry Co, VA, Henry Cocke Sr./
Kathrine Holt of Southwart Parish, Surry Co, VA, Henry Cocke Jr.of VA moved to N.C. & married Lucy Terrell of
N.C., Samuel M. Cocke b.1819, of N.C. married Dorcus E. Festerman of N.C., James Alexander Cocke b.1857, of Tate Co, MS. married Mrs. Martha Jefferson (Goode) Ballard of MS...their son, Samuel M. Cocke b.1896, of Pike Co, AR. married Lillie E. Barkhimer b.1909, of Ouachita Co, AR. (my parents)...we moved to Shreveport, LA in 1949, where I have lived most of my life...
