I'm also trying to find info about Jester Cocke. His daughter Elizabeth married David DeLaughter and her name was originally shown as Cox. It was only in a copy of his will that I found her name was actually Cocke.
You might want to check Phil & Janet Crowther at familytreemaker.com who have an extensive listing for Cocke families. They show a Jester Gwinn (Sr) Cocke, born 1781 in VA; married Mary 1808 in NC. He had a brother Charles Scott Cocke, born ca 1780; died 29 Apr 1833 in Clark County, AR; married Nancy (?). This coincidence of another Cocke in Clark County, AR seems to be a good lead. Unfortunately, they don't give any further info about descendants of Charles or Jester.
