Cockburn, Cogburn, etc. NC>SC>GA>AL>TX

My line of COGBURN's:
Mary Alice Cogburn Birdwell>Jackson Cogburn>Cyrus Cogburn>???
Cyrus b. NC then brought alkaline glaze pottery techniques from SC to GA>AL>AR?>TX (Panola-Rusk-Newton-Sabine Counties). At least three of his sons were also potters; Jackson, Tomlinson Ford and Levi.
There was a large family of Cogburn's in Edgefield SC late 1700's and into 1800's. Head of this family was John. He may have been a brother to Cyrus. This is the county where Cyrus learned the alkaline glaze process. Some other potters Cyrus may have been associated with (lived near) were, Massey, Landrum, & Bustle (Bussell).
Can anyone add to this. Email me at dpike39@txucom.net
