Thanks for the reply! I have most of the information you posted concerning the Cockburn's, but the additional info from your side of the family will be interesting to look at.
I've had very little luck going back beyond Peter Cockburn and Agnes Ogilvie. It seems Peter was a private in the 94th regiment of foot when he was married, so I'm wondering if he moved around some.
