I married one. Go to the libray and try to find a large chart of English family tree- it's of the Royalty era- after the Plantagenet era, about 1450'ish. Thomas de Cockburn & Philip de Cockburn swore fealty to the Crown at the Castle (?) in Berwickshire. They are mentioned in the "Ragman Rolls". The "Ragman Rolls" are kept in the White Tower (Tower's of London).
"The Plantagenet's" is a good start for deep research.
