Cockburn in Northumberland

When my grandfather was wounded at Ypres in 1917 he was convalescent at the 2nd Western Military Hospital in Manchester, and told us that all his belongings were stolen but that his cousins came through with assistance. Stupidly, at that time no one clarified what cousin. I have his WWI military records now and these record the assignment of his pay to "Mrs. William Cockburn of Monkseaton, Northumberland, his aunt." As far as I can tell this could have only been his mother's sister Elizabeth (Fearon). Does anyone have a connection to this family? There is a possibility that there was a daughter named Faith who then took the married name Slack.
