I am researching my husband's maternal line and have come totally unstuck - help would be much appreciated. The only information I have is: Sara Cock had two children James and Emily. James married Maria Evans and had two children Gilbert Rylands and Jack; Jack died in a drowning accident in Canada. Gilbert married Margaret Ann Long and their first child, Isabella, was born in 1908, followed by five more girls! Only information we have is from Alan's 94 year-old aunt who says that Grandfather James came from Brittany to work in the mines in Devon and later became an engine driver in the steelworks in Barrow-in-Furness (where the surviving daughters now live). As I say, any help would be much appreciated.
