Cock (Cox) and Norwood families

I have data linking these 2 families but it is incomplete and the source on FTM is now gone. The families were the ancestors of Billy Joe Wood in some way. They are also my ancestors. The Norwoods are on my mother's side and the Cock (Cox) on my father's side. Isn't that tantalizing? Would appreciate any bit that I can get to make the connection clear. Thanks
