We have done some maternal line DNA testing (mtDNA) of the maternal line that leads to Elizabeth Cock(e) Rhudy b. 1780 in Grayson Co., VA. Interestingly, there is a match with a maternal line that ties into the Lewis family of Henrico Co., VA., a family that has some ties to the Cock family of Henrico Co. Elizabeth Cock Rhudy is perhaps a granddaughter of John Cock and Mary Elizabeth Goad of Grayson Co., VA.
