COCHRANE,Roscommon to Shippegan N.B.
Posted by: Paul Delicaet Date: March 26, 2001 at 10:34:52
  of 1163

The following passenger was aboard the Brig ELIZA LIDDELL, Sligo to Shippegan N.B. (3 June/27July,1847). His name did not appear on the Captain's Official Passenger List presented to port officials on arrival.
The name was gleaned from the list of SICK AND DESTITUDE receiving aid at public expense.
This passenger was probably sent to the ship by Lord Palmerston's Agent, from the Lord's Estate in Roscommon. tho there is a possibilty that he was from the poor of Sligo.
COCHRANE;- Timothy (26yrs).
