Is it true that Thomas Cochrane father of Rachel and Margaret in South Carolina [both were my husband's ancestors]was the son of Vermonters and that he ran away from their abusive treatment- I only ask because I have Vermont relatives and found a Dr. Cochrane was a neighbor of my ancestors- just curious if I have found a unique coincidence...
