My gggrandfather was Hugh Cochran(e) who came through the Ripley, Westfield, NY area during the 1840-1850. Previously they came from Cochranton, PA. When they left NY they went to Wisconsin, then Minnesota and finnaly to South Dakota in 1872, where from that time on we know all the decendants of Byron James Cochrane, my ggrandfather and the grandson of Hugh.
