Cochrane(s) of Antrim Ireland, New Brunswick, and the USA

I’m hoping someone may have information on James Cochran who was born about 1876 in Antrim Antrim County, Ireland. His son William Cochran(e) also born in Antrim about 1811 settled in Marysville York County, New Brunswick in 1817 and married Naomi Pond. William’s son Charles William Cochrane settled in Lerwick Victoria County New Brunswick in the 1870’s and married Adelaide Harris. Another of William Cochrane’s sons, Moses (married Mary Jeanette Finnamore) left for Boston later in life perhaps to visit family that may have lived there and never returned. Family legend claims that James Cochran was a sea captain and when he left Ireland he may have first settled in New York or Massachusetts first prior to eventually settling in New Brunswick. James Cochran also had a brother John Cochran that applied for land at the same time and is also listed on the same 1844 land petition. My Cochran(e)s were Presbyterian. I hope that someone may be able to validate the ties to Antrim as well as James being a sea captain, the New York or Massachusetts connection or any information that may pertain to my family. Any information would be greatly appreciated and I have plenty to share. I look forward to hearing from you.
